The Cavanna hand spade is not a traditional spade, but a hand tool designed for use in woodland or hilly soils without excessively damaging the ground or the underground fungus. It may have a “spear point” (narrow and long), a “scoop point” (wider) or a “flag” shape, useful for hard or compact soils. The working part is forged from hardened steel or stainless steel to withstand wear and rocks, while the handle is generally made of wood or aluminium. Available with and without handle.
